From the early Peter Jackson territory comes another bad-taste Braindead film. It's the third day of shooting the low-budget horror film 'Tonight They Come' in the New Zealand wilderness. Director SMP is already beyond himself with the prospect of working with a self-obsessed leading guy and a bimbo actress when a new runner, want tobe author Wesley Pennington, enters the fray. Wesley, despite being an accident-prone nerd, attempts to blend in with the mad cast and deranged staff while falling head over heals in love with Susan, the set caterer. However, something horrible has infiltrated the local water system, and the zombie extras begin acting more authentically as genuine members of the living dead, gore stunts appear even more authentic, and actual severed limbs fly. Reel life becomes real as Wesley struggles to save the day while ensuring the production of his newest script.
