Virginia is employed by a secondhand bookshop. She's a huge fan of horror novels, so when she comes across a great one, she's thrilled. "I, Madman" tells the story of a psychotic doctor who adorns himself with the shaved heads and hair of others in order to win the affection of a young woman. As soon as she picks up the book to read, she is confronted by a ghostly image of him. The schizophrenic doctor from the novel has made it out of the pages and into the real world.
