This epic, action-packed Western chronicles the extraordinary true story of Bass Reeves, the first black marshal in the Wild West, and tells it in a way that is both entertaining and educational. His journey begins in Arkansas, where he seeks employment as a law enforcement officer after escaping slavery following the American Civil War. In order to prove himself, he must track down a dangerous outlaw with the assistance of a veteran journeyman.
