Film adaption of the 1968 Broadway musical "Hair: An American Tribal Love-Rock Musical" about a Vietnam War draftee who encounters a tribe of hippies on his route to the army induction facility. When Claude receives his draft notice, he packs up his belongings and departs to New York, leaving his family's ranch in Oklahoma behind. His first step upon landing in the Big Apple is to immerse himself in the city's vibrant youth subculture before heading off to boot camp.
