Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes

A maritime tragedy in the nineteenth century left a man and a lady stuck in the African bush for months. When the lady becomes pregnant, the boy is born in their tree house. Soon later, a family of apes comes stumbling across the house, causing both parents to be slain in the subsequent panic. In order to replace her own dead kid, a female ape adopts and raises the young boy in the same manner as her own son. Captain Phillippe D'Arnot tracks down the man who believes he is an ape twenty years after the events of the film. Following evidence in the tree home that leads him to assume that he is the Earl of Greystoke, he takes it upon himself to bring the guy back into civilized society. He is successful.
