Gibby
Katie, a young adolescent, is unable to shake her depression following the death of her mother. Katie is no longer interested in school, friends, or gymnastics. All of that changes this summer when she is asked to look after Gibby, her science teacher's Capuchin monkey. Taking care of the monkey has a significant impact on her life. Katie's enthusiasm for life is rekindled by Gibby's upbeat demeanor. Gibby assists Katie with gymnastics, establishing friendships (including possibly finding a boyfriend), and conquering her adversary, a mean girl who is out to beat Katie at everything.
