Gangster Squad
The year is 1949, and the city is Los Angeles. Mickey Cohen, a ruthless Brooklyn-born mob leader, rules this town, enjoying the ill-gotten wealth from drugs, firearms, prostitutes, and— if he had his way — every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all while being protected by not just his own paid goons, but also the police and politicians who work for him. Even the bravest, most street-hardened cop will be intimidated... Except for a tiny group of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O'Mara and Jerry Wooters who have banded together to try to shatter Cohen's universe.
