On a monitoring mission in a primaeval forest, a park ranger encounters 2 survivalists complying with a post-apocalyptic way of living. The young boy and also his thoughtful papa appear to have their own religion, and also a strange connection to nature. There are many dubious aspects to their existence, yet when the cabin is attacked by unusual, post-human beings one night, she learns that there is a higher hazard in this emerging wild.
