Funny Boy
An adaptation of Shyam Selvadurai's 1994 unique Amusing Child, exploring the awakening of sex-related identification by a young kid called Arjie. As political tensions rise to a boiling point between the minority Tamils and the majority Sinhalese, a young child matures in a culture and also family members that doesn't accept difference outside of social standards. The movie narrates Arjie's struggle to locate balance and also self-love in spite of the absence of empathy as well as understanding.
