Foreign Land
When Alejandro Reis-Alex-realizes he is not an American citizen, his life changes dramatically. His parents took him to Mexico when he was a baby. Flora Hendricks, however, is from Missouri. She resolves to flee. Alex is exiled in Mexico. Flora is arrested for shoplifting. And deported with Alex. Alex and Flora quickly discover they are completely out of their depth in Mexico. They rapidly realize that Tijuana and most other border cities are dangerous, battling criminal gangs.
