Forbidden Games
Paulette, a young Parisian girl who has been orphaned as a result of a Nazi air raid, meets Michel, an older peasant boy, and the two quickly become close. They work together to make sense of the chaotic and crumbling world around them, as well as to cope with death by constructing a burial ground for Paulette's deceased pet dog. However, Paulette's stay with Michel's family is eventually jeopardized by the harsh realities of war.
