After the fabled Dragon Inn was burned down in the desert and its innkeeper Jade disappeared, the story of Flying Swords of Dragon Gate takes up three years later. A new gang of marauders had taken over, working as innkeepers during the day and treasure hunters during the evening. There's a rumor that the inn is the site of a long-lost city buried beneath the desert, and that its secret riches would only be disclosed once every 60 years by a massive storm. A front for the group in their search for the fabled treasure was provided by the hotel.
