Every Time We Say Goodbye

An American pilot who joined the Royal Air Force before his country became involved in the war is recuperating in Jerusalem after suffering a leg injury. He meets a quiet Jewish girl whose close-knit family originally hails from Spain, thanks to the introduction of an English acquaintance. Although the two are drawn to each other, she is convinced that their disparate backgrounds mean that they will never be able to be together.
