Eva Doesn't Sleep
That this story is true is the strangest thing about it, but it is. First Lady Eva Perón died of cancer at the age of 30 in 1952. One of the best embalmers in the world was hired by Juan Peron, who was inconsolable after she died. Thousands of people from Argentina came to see "Evita." During a military coup three years later, Perón fled the country before he could make plans to get his wife's body to another country. It was taken by the military junta that now runs the country. They were so afraid of Eva's symbolic power that they even made it illegal to say her name. When Eva died, her body went on a two-decade trip across Europe and back to Argentina.
