Eddie's Million Dollar Cook Off
Eddie Ogden is his father's pride and joy, as well as the lone baseball talent on the Groundhogs' roster. Eddie then realizes that he has a palate for and a flair for cooking. Despite the fact that his brothers Andy and Alex, as well as his father and classmates, appreciate his dishes, they simply mock him when he cooks, so he arranges a 'accidental' enrollment for himself and two friends in Home Economics. Eddie and nerdy shrew Bridget Simons are the only ones who enter a nationwide cooking competition for schoolchildren. Eddie enters the competition covertly once more. Ma finds out and, to his surprise, is supportive, as is the teacher, who was a previous winner of the competition.
