Drums Along the Mohawk

John Ford's adventure film is set during America's Colonial period and follows Gilbert (Henry Fonda) and Lana Martin (Claudette Colbert) as they attempt to survive the harsh frontier. The pair is taken in by a spinster after their colony is regularly attacked by Indians (Edna May Oliver). Lana gives birth to a son while Gilbert fights the Indians and the British. He returns, injured, to discover his family being attacked by the Indians once more.
