Jimmy and Tiger both compete in wushu for China. For a series of shows, the two are in the city of angels. Tiger, on the other hand, plans to head to Los Angeles to make his mark. It is impossible for Jimmy to thwart Tiger's defection, thus Jimmy misses his flight to China. The only hope Jimmy has now that he's a stranger in a strange land is Andy, a smart-alecky teen from Los Angeles. In the meantime, Tiger is employed by a mafia don. As a result of Andy stealing a detergent box from Tiger, Jimmy and Andy are forced to deal with Tiger and his thugs. Penny, Tiger's boss's girlfriend, is their sole ally. Before, the two men were close friends. Now, they're sworn enemies.
