The long-lost spacecraft Demeter is discovered in the Carpathian System by the deep space salvage vessel Mother III in the year 3000. 187, Aurora Ash, Arthur "The Professor" Holmwood (who thinks he's a genius), Humvee, Mina Murry, and the intern Mina Murry resolve to seek the possession of Demeter, which Van Helsing and his team believe is theirs. There's a tape of Captain Varna from fifty years ago detailing how he was held in his cabin because his crew was acting strangely after they received a cargo of coffins on Transylvania station, which they discover when researching the ship. Count Dracula is awoken by 187's blood when he slashes his hand while searching the coffins for a suspected stash of marijuana. As soon as Aurora reveals that Dracula is indeed alive and well, the survivors set out to eliminate him.
