An catastrophe deep in the Marianas Trench causes a huge tsunami that destroys the Hawaiian Islands before reaching the west coast. Panic grips the west coasts of North and South America. In an attempt to mitigate the damage, scientists accidentally increase the tsunami's power and focus on Los Angeles. Soliciting solutions from scientists and military planners. Los Angeles evacuates.
