Dirty Pretty Things
A London hotel serves as a meeting place and flashpoint for legal and illegal immigrants striving to reassemble their lives in a new nation. Senay, a Turkish woman, and Okwe, a Nigerian physician working as the hotel's night porter, are among the immigrants. The two realize that the hotel is a front for a variety of illicit enterprises. Their main desire is to avoid deportation. Okwe becomes increasingly involved in the events when he is asked to repair a toilet in one of the hotel rooms. He discovers that a human heart has obstructed the pipes.
