Desire Will Set You Free
The film, titled Desire Will Set You Free, takes a critical and funny look at current Berlin living. An American writer of Israeli/Palestinian descent and a Russian artist who works as a hustler form a relationship in the movie. It shows how their lives are very different from those of other people who have fled their home country. Their adventures take them through Berlin's rich history and unique subcultures. They find hints and reminders of the Weimar Republic, WWII, Bowie's time there, and punk.
