Adapted from Mark Twain's The Mysterious Stranger, Day of the Stranger revives the acid western of the 1970s. Caine Farrowood works for vicious kingpin Loomweather. A botched bounty hunt leaves Caine for dead. When he thinks his life is ended, he wakes up in his wife Christina's arms. Caine is baffled by how he came home, but soon he's involved in another bounty hunt. This one is big and may cost Caine not his life but his sanity when he faces someone who may be the fallen angel himself.
