Dark Blood

Dark Blood is a 1993 film that was never completed due to River Phoenix's death. It follows Boy, a young widower who lives on a nuclear testing site in the desert. Boy is anticipating the end of the world and carves Katchina dolls rumored to possess mystical properties. Boy's tranquility is broken when a Hollywood jet-set couple is stuck in the desert after their car breaks down. Boy rescues the couple and then imprisons them because to his affection for the woman and his wish to establish a better world with her.
