Daphne
Daphne is a young woman navigating the perils of contemporary life. Caught between the everyday whirlwind of her restaurant employment and a nocturnal kaleidoscope of new faces, she is clever, amusing, and the life of the party. Too preoccupied to notice that she is unhappy on a more fundamental level. When she intervenes to save the life of a shopkeeper injured during a botched robbery, the impenetrable armour she uses to protect herself begins to crack, and Daphne is forced to confront the inevitability of a much-needed shift in her life.
