Crystal's Shadow
Crystal was an orphan in Texas who had a terrible and traumatic upbringing. Her parents regularly beat her, but one night she blacks out after seeing odd lights outside her house, and when she comes to, she discovers that they have been brutally murdered. A few years later, when Crystal is a young adult, she decides to run away from her orphanage because she is afraid that forces from other dimensions are after her. Upon arriving at a distant ranch, she is found by a family who are compelled to defend her and learn that extraterrestrial paranormal phenomenon is an actual occurrence.
