Cruel Peter
Messina, Sicily, is one of the wealthiest cities in the Mediterranean at Christmastime in 1908. At just 13 years of age, Peter is renowned for abusing children, animals, and even employees in his wealthy English home. One night, he is ambushed and finds himself in a coffin in the city's Gothic cemetery, where a servant boy from his mother's estate has buried him as a punishment for his callousness. The earthquake that destroys Messina leaves Peter stranded with no idea where he is or how he got there. Archaeologists from the United Kingdom and their daughter come in the city a century later.
