Allie reluctantly accepts a temporary position as the governess to a young girl who is a member of a wealthy European family that resides in a castle after being fired from her position as a maid at a posh New York City hotel. Allie discovers the girl's name is Princess Theodora and her father is King Maximillion of Winshire upon her arrival. Since the death of her mother, the Princess' propensity to harass authority figures has worsened, the King informs Allie. However, the governess and princess end up getting along, while Allie and Max develop a spark. Nonetheless, Countess Celia expects to marry the King. Will Max stand up for his feelings for Allie and make Christmas truly joyful for everyone (or at least the majority)?
