Cotton Comes to Harlem

The Rev. Deke O'Malley is defrauding the African-American community in Harlem by falsely claiming that small donations will secure parcels of land in Africa for the benefit of the community. Officers Gravedigger Jones and Coffin Ed Johnson of the New York City Police Department investigate O'Malley's scam and discover that the money is being smuggled into the country in a bale of cotton. As a result of the money going missing, the police, O'Malley, and many others are forced to scramble to find it.
