Conviction
When Betty Anne Waters' older brother Kenny is arrested for murder in 1983 and given a life sentence, Betty Anne, a wife and mother of two from Massachusetts, decides to spend the rest of her life trying to get the murder conviction overturned. Betty Anne is sure that her brother Kenny is innocent, so she spends 18 years going to high school, college, and finally law school to prove it. With the help of her best friend Abra Rice, Betty Anne goes through the suspicious evidence that small town cop Nancy Taylor gathered and carefully retraces the steps that led to Kenny's arrest. Betty Anne believes in her brother and wants to know the truth, so she and her team try to find the facts and use DNA evidence to clear Kenny.
