Concrete Plans
Five builders are hired to renovate a sprawling old farmhouse in the remote Welsh mountains. Tensions quickly rise between the men and the self-righteous aristocratic homeowner, as well as within the ragtag group of men themselves, as they are housed in mouldy portacabins. The kindly Foreman Bob and the world-weary old timer Dave try to keep the peace. But his nephew Steve is swayed by bigot Jim, who has a grudge against Viktor, a Ukrainian laborer. Temperaments flare as the weather worsens and payments are late. There has been a loss of life. Jim makes an astonishing proposition as the blue-collar men face an increasingly dark spiral of moral choices.
