The actual story of Charlotte Salomon, a young German-Jewish painter who comes of age in Berlin on the eve of the Second World War. Charlotte Salomon was a German-Jewish painter. She has a vivid imagination and is profoundly talented, and her goal in life is to be an artist. Her first love is the one who recognizes her brilliance, and his praise serves to strengthen her determination. She runs away to the South of France in order to protect herself from the violent crowds that are inspired to act by anti-Semitic policies. She picks up painting again there, and she also finds a new love. But her job is disrupted once again, this time by a tragedy in her family that opens the door to an even more sinister mystery. She is under the impression that only an amazing deed can save her, so she decides to go on the colossal journey of painting the story of her life.
