Celia
Set in mid-1950s Australia, when communism was feared and rabbits overran the farmlands, the film shows a long hot summer through the eyes and overactive imagination of nine-year-old Celia. Celia's Grandmother's death leaves her adrift between childhood's brutal games and customs and the adult world. By day, her nighttime nightmares mix with the banal harshness of the adult world, leading to catastrophic and surprising outcomes.
