Mary Henry is the only person to survive a fatal car accident, and it's unclear why. Trying to put what happened behind her, she moves to Utah and gets a job as a church organist. But her fresh start is interrupted by visions of a bad man. As the visions start to happen more often, Mary finds herself drawn to the deserted carnival on the edge of town. The strangely alluring carnival may hold the key to her tragic past.
