Tidal cycles and seasonal shifts are controlled by an extraterrestrial race of beings that exist outside of our own. An individual named Chun is looking for something more, and she wants to see the human world for herself. When she is sixteen, she finally gets her opportunity and turns into a dolphin in order to explore the world that has captivated her interest. However, she soon realizes that it is a hazardous place, and nearly dies in a vortex. Fortunately for her, a young child makes the ultimate sacrifice to save her life. She utilizes magic to bring him back to life, only to discover that this power comes with a significant price. She will have to make her own sacrifices in order to protect his soul until it is ready to return to the human realm on a new journey.
