Beyond the Blackboard

Based on a true event, “Beyond the Blackboard” is about a 24-year-old first-time teacher who makes a difference in the lives of homeless children. As a new teacher and mother in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in1987, you end up teaching homeless children in a school that is actually called The School with No Name, and it is a school housed in a room. The lack of books and resources is also an obstacle she must overcome before she can truly teach these children.
