Beauty and the Bastard

Modern Finnish movie about two young adults who are very different but end up making music together and falling in love after meeting by chance. Even though Nelli's parents have planned out the perfect job and man for her, she wants to be a singer. She meets the young, grungy Hip Hop musician Sunen by chance in the studio and asks him to help her make a demo tape. The story that follows about how differences bring people together and how they have to work through problems is not only well told. Also, the music is very well done. It is hard to believe that this is the director's first movie.
