Beasts of the Southern Wild

Hushpuppy, a brave six-year-old girl, lives in 'the Bathtub,' a southern Delta community on the edge of the world, with her father, Wink. Wink's tough love prepares her for the universe's unraveling—for a time when he won't be there to protect her. When Wink contracts an unknown illness, nature goes haywire—temperatures rise and ice caps melt, unleashing an army of prehistoric creatures known as aurochs. With the waters rising, the aurochs approaching, and Wink's health deteriorating, Hushpuppy sets out in search of her long-lost mother.
