Beasts of No Nation

A drama based on the experiences of Agu, a child fighting in a fictional West African country's civil war. The story follows Agu as he is forced to join a group of soldiers. While Agu fears his commander and many of the men around him, his childhood has been shattered by the war raging in his country, and he is initially torn between revulsion and fascination. Paints a complex, difficult picture of Agu as a child soldier by depicting the mechanics of war and not shying away from explicit, visceral detail.
