Following the annihilation of the Twelve Colonies of Mankind, the last major fighter carrier leads a ragtag fugitive fleet in a desperate search for the legendary planet Earth. This film is based on an ABC television series that ran from September 17, 1978, to August 17, 1980. This theatrical feature film was created by combining the first and fifth episodes of the series. Without commercials, the two episodes totaled 148 minutes, while the film is 125 minutes long.
