Batman: Year One
Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City after a lengthy absence to fuel his lifelong quest for justice, while Jim Gordon returns after a stint as a cop who was too honest with the wrong people. It's only after seeing the brutality of the city's criminality firsthand that these two discover how to fight back in their own manner. Gotham's criminals from top to bottom are terrified by Batman and Gordon is assigned to apprehend him by fellow criminals who both despise and revere him. While searching for the fugitive, the two men discover that they have a lot in common, laying the groundwork for an unlikely friendship.
