Banana Joe
Banana is played by Bud Spencer. Joe is a big, friendly man who lives in a small rainforest village called Amantido with a large number of his own children and regularly delivers bananas to a South American river port (hence his name). One day, the henchmen of a local gangster boss named Torsillo come ashore in Amantido to start building a plant to process bananas. A direct-approach method by Joe evicts the goons, who return to their employer. Torsillo finds out that Joe is selling bananas without a license, so he decides to take advantage of it. When Joe's next delivery is seized by the police, he is offered the option of obtaining a legal license or having his boat impounded and being prosecuted for unlawful transportation. Because he was raised in the rainforest, the nearest city is a completely foreign place to Joe.
