The body of Pocho Martin is discovered washed up on a fishing village's shore. The forensic Ramiro claims that Pocho was murdered, which alerts the Commissioner Carlos to the crime scene. Pocho's friend, Silvia, learns about the tragedy, but she's more concerned about her upcoming nuptials with Andy, whom she's just met. Crackpot Oscar tells Carlos about the horrible sirens of Deer Island, women who lure sailors to their deaths by singing to them. Oscar is a pirate, after all. Lila and Mary, who manage a tavern/brothel along the shore, greet Ramiro and Carlos when they arrive on the island. The murder of Pocho remains unsolved, but Carlos and Lila are longtime friends and rejoice the reunion.
