Anywhere But Here
Adele August, a single mother in this adaptation of Mona Simpson's novel, is terrible with money and even worse with making decisions. As a high school senior, her daughter, Ann, is on track for a place in the Ivy League. Adele's impulsive and irresponsible behavior irritates Ann when she and her family decide to move from the Midwest to Beverly Hills, California, to follow Adele's career aspirations in Hollywood.
