Andrei Rublev
This sweeping Russian drama centers on the life of famed Orthodox icon painter Andrei Rublev. The peace-seeking monk acquires a name for his painting as he drifts from place to place during a turbulent era. Rublev takes a vow of silence and takes time away from his business after unwittingly becoming embroiled in a terrible struggle he observes. As he begins to heal his tormented psyche, he takes steps to resume his career as a painter.
