Her rock band, as well as her Italian-American ancestry, inspire Frankie, who is headstrong and passionate about both. She is engaged to a respectable Italian gentleman, and everything in her life appears to be going smoothly until she discovers a murdered victim in the trunk of her rental car, which she immediately reports to the police. Frankie's sister, Heather, persuades her to attend the funeral, where they meet Nicolette, the daughter of the new Brooklyn mafia don, who becomes their new friend. As soon as Nicolette shows up at a gig, it sets off a chain of events that leads Frankie on a journey towards an unexpected relationship.
