Alley Cat
Self-medicating Yosuke Kubozuka, a melancholy former boxer, discovers a stray cat, which brightens his day, but she is quickly stolen away by an amusing grungy mechanic (played by Yuki Kawahara) (Kenji Furuya). Maru and Lily, the names given to the cat by the odd pair, are suddenly dragged into a political intrigue with Saeko (Yui Ichikawa) and her son at its heart. They set out on their journey to redemption or at the very least peaceful cat ownership after witnessing yet another instance of the wealthy and powerful taking advantage of those who are weaker.
