Eve Harrington has a goal in mind from the moment she catches a sight of her hero, the great actress Margo Channing, at the stage door. She is determined to seize control of the situation from Margo Channing. Eve wiggles her way into Margo's Broadway role, becomes a sensation, and even causes chaos in the lives of Margo's director boyfriend, her playwright, and his wife.
