Achilles and the Tortoise

Machisu is an artist. This is what he thinks. He hasn't had the success that makes him think he should. Even though this, he always tries to be successful. His wife, Sachiko, is always there for him, even when he has problems. When Machisu, the only son of a rich art collector, was a child, he was in love with art. Getting praise from a famous artist friend of his father makes the boy want to become an artist, too. A young man named Machisu is able to pay for art school with money he earns from working. A dealer tells him that his work isn't good enough, and he gets his first taste of harsh words from him. Sachiko, an attractive clerk, is there to give him a lift. She thinks that only she can understand him. Machisu gets married soon after, and soon after that, he has a daughter. Love and hope make him work even harder at his art.
