A Viking Saga: The Darkest Day

Cast into a violent and bloody world of murder, Hereward, a novice monk, is forced to deliver the Holy Gospel of Lindisfarne-a book of great beauty and power-to the safety of the Iona monastery while being pursued by a Viking death squad hell-bent on capturing it. He meets a ferocious and skillful swordsman on his way to the monastery who hears his prayers and dedicates his life to guarding Hereward while he delivers the book. They are met along the way by Vikings willing to kill to obtain what they desire, leaving Hereward and his guardian at their mercy.
