Kate Holiday, a hardworking bakery entrepreneur, has more cookie orders than she can fill this holiday season, and when her boyfriend abruptly breaks up with her, all remaining Christmas joy vanishes. Kate wakes up the next morning to a tiny touch of Christmas enchantment after hanging the last ornament on the tree and going to bed. Chip, a lovely soldier who may or may not be the Nutcracker Prince from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker," enters in her living room and gives her the surprise of her life.
